NEW HOUSE AND MORE

I feel like I am now living in a semi new house. I think it looks alot better now then it did 42 years ago when we bought. Now all I have to do is paint some inside. Any one want to come over and help. I am posting pictures so if you all visit you won't drive by because you don't recognize the place.

The first picture is what it looked like when we bought it in 1966. It was white with black trim and white roof. The second picture is what it looked like for the past 15 years. When we put up the siding we wanted steel and they didn't have black so we opted for almond with brown trim. White roof doesn't look great but it was only 2 years old so not going to change that. The third picture is today. Notice all the big trees are gone, either to make room for trailors or because they were tearing up the plumbing and driveway. It looks better in the spring when the flowers bloom. The yard also changed from black & white rocks to beige and white. I think it looks better with the new roof and the almond doors.

I was talking about the motorcycle riding we used to do. That is me in my younger days on my yucky Honda. The bearded guy is my Neil. He really looks macho and sexy. Of course his feet are on the ground which is a no no but he looks good. And we both look so skinny.

Wow! What a looker! Oh yeah, Neil looks pretty handsome, too. Pete used to race motocross when he was a young man, living in Las Cruces. He quit after he broke his right collar bone and most of his ribs. Can't imagine why, can you?

I love your house, too. I really like the way people use rocks and natural plants and stuff out there. I love the desert, tho. So harsh and so beautiful at the same time.

Thanks for sharing,
hh

Why weren't you wearing a helmet?

WOW! I forgot about the basketball hoop. Pretty amazing. Next time I'm in town I'll probably drive right past the house, it looks so different. Good, but different.

I think you and Dad need to pony up some of your lottery money and get back into the motorcycles. I used to love that! (Plus if you buy some, I'll have more motivation to get one myself).

BTW - we took Matty's training wheels off yesterday. He needs some work, but he's doing good. I'm proud of that little stinker!
