Short Stranger

Some of you may have already heard about the fortune I found in my fortune cookie on Saturday. If not this is what it said:

A short stranger will soon enter your life with blessings to share

I of course thought it might be Nagano-san but was wrong. My short stranger arrived today. Actually this stranger means a great deal more to me then a visit from Nagano. I received a little Netsuke from my friend Snowy. My Netsuke is called Otakufu and she is the goddess of mirth.

When I first saw her I thought how perfect, a little old grandma sitting in a bathtub drinking tea. Actually she is sitting in a mask and her job is to drive out demons. She is delightful and will sit on my desk to remind me that my job is to continue to keep my site mirthful and entertaining.

This little lady does show me how truly blessed I am to have made such wonderful and thoughtful friends like Snowy. Thanks so much for thinking of me.

She certainly did put some thought into picking those, didn't she? What a wonderful friend our Snowy is.

I also read she's the goddess of hospitality, and you (and bunny before you, and konpira before that)give us an exceedingly cool place to hang out. Thank YOU!
