SUSAN POWTER

I am stepping up my workout. I know I need to be careful of my neck but I can’t wait anymore for it to quit hurting. So I am starting to add weight training back to the routine. The one thing I am doing is wearing a neck collar to stabilize it and lessening the strain.

I have through the years bought exercise tapes. Going through what I have I found Susan Powter’s Building Strength and decided to try it. Do any of you remember blond haired big mouthed Susan? Well I have to say she put together a nice routine. She gives you options according to your fitness level and she works upper and lower body. There is a nice warm up and cool down. I had forgotten the tape and was pleasantly surprised that it worked well for me. Good for beginners and old people.

MY BEST FRIEND

Say a little prayer for my best friend and her Daddy. Her 99 year old father had a heart attack and broke his hip. He has rallied some and will have his hip pinned today. It so sad to see an elderly person have to suffer like this and it is so hard to watch someone you love have to go through this. My love and prayers are with you.

I will keep your friend and her father in my prayers.

My 92-year-old grandma had a small stroke, fell and broke her hip a few months ago. She has recovered nicely. It's amazing how far medicine has come!

Add my prayers to yours and Jeannie's for your friend in this difficult time. It works, I know it does. My son is living proof.

I just heard from my friend and they were not able to do the surgery. The Dr. says he is not going to make it. I feel so bad for the family. I had to sit with my parents for days waiting for thr inevitable and it is horrible. I wish there was something I could to make it easier for her. I am so bummed!

Just pray for her, pam, and be there for her. That's all you can do. I will pray for you all, too.

Being her friend is the best thing you can do, Pam. She is going to need you during this difficult time.

I'm so very sorry!
