Work in Progress

I just wanted everyone to see how talented my hubby is and why I keep him around. He has already taken out the false walls the drug dealers put in to hide their stash. As you can see they were not very good at what they did. I have never seen so much glue. I think they used a gallon of the stuff. I am not sure why they felt the need to paint every thing in the hidey holes black but they did.

In the pictures you can see that Neil has already put the walls back where they belong. Now comes the real work. Getting rid of the black paint and bare wood.

I have already put up one strip of the contact paper we are going to use. Did a pretty good job if I do say so myself. Now if I can only do as well with the rest. Neil is going to put up walls and molding to cover the black. It won't look like it did originally but will do the trick. I say it will look like book shelves without the shelves. For now use your imagination. I will share pictures when the job is done.

The floor also looks pretty bad. We have carpet left over from when we had the house carpeted and we are going to use it in the MH bedroom. It won't match the rest of the carpet but there in kitchen tile between the two so should look OK.

I went back and read the previous post about what a deal you got on the rv. What a find and how nice it is to have someone that can fix something. I bet you get many hours of enjoyment out of your new baby!

Thank you Judy and thank you for the visit to my Blog. I will post the finished product tonight. Won't win any awards but it sure looks better then it did.

Buy you a good drink and a tasty BBQ. What a beautiful motor home. Used to daydream about them as a kid. What a great idea to keep warm during outside auctions and a great excuse to travel. You're so lucky!

Looks like you're plugging along! It's always good when the man has some redeeming quality. At least that's what I tell myself. ;)
