This was my big activity other then shopping while I was in Flower Mound. It is known as ICE and is in the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine. This place was so cool...literally. They gave us all parkas because the temperature was 9 degrees. Very cold but I loved it. Fascinating how they could carve all this ice.
Katie and Matty On a bridge of solid ice.
Katie and Matty with the Coke polar bears.
The most incredible Christmas ornaments. They were amazing!
David and Katie with Santa. Katie thought he was evil looking. But he brought her everything she wanted.
Awww, and Matty's little nose is red from the cold! Looks spendiferous! Never saw anything like that when I lived out there. Course, we only ever went to Grapevine once, and that was to catch the train to The Stockyards. Ever done that? It's pretty fun.
It was fun. They only do it at Christmas. If you are ever near a Gaylord hotel you need to visit. There are others around the country. It is like a wonderland. The courtyard of this one has replicas of all things Texas. It is massive. You could spend 3 days and not see everything in this hotel.

Seemed like a ton of fun! Do they have it in the summer? Must be a huge hit in the Texas heat. They look so beautiful too.

Wow, look at how the grandkids have grown- especially Katie. She looks like she's pretty tall.
Gaylord Ice looks like fun. I've never seen a place quite like it before.
She is tall for her age. Not sure where that comes from.
The Ice thing is fantastic. A little expensive $20 a person. Kids and old people a little cheaper. It was worth it. I want to go again next year.
Oh wow the pictures are so cool! I LOVE THE ICE BRIDGE! Thanks for sharing :) Looked like a lot of fun!
Amazing, how pretty! Looks like a good time was had by all. The closest Gaylord to me is in Tennessee I think. It would be worth the trip to see this.
Judy the hotels are amazing to see without ICE
Sweet! There are Gaylord hotels in Nashville, Orlando, and (who knew?)the DC suburbs. Definitely want to do that next year.
Looks like everyone had a great time. I'd love to visit a place like that.
