I Need Sympathy

Due to my own stupidly I have a sore neck. It is a very strange kind of sore. It is my fault because I sit for hours at a computer that is not positioned right and causes a lot of neck strain. Then I started lifting weights and because I wanted to see results now, I started with weights that were too heavy. And so you know how out of shape I was, we are talking 8 and
10 pounds. I went to my quack Doctor and of course his advice was an MRI that would have cost me thousands. I did a lot of research on the computer and have decided I have a pinched nerve. So as recommended I am using ice packs and aspirin for the inflammation. I am happy to report that it still hurts but is somewhat better. I am now using mostly the laptop and no weight training for awhile.

The one by product of all this – Panic mode. As most of you know I am prone to allowing myself to slip into panic mode and when I do I become a basket case. So I am now working hard to slip out of panic mode and as you also know, I will because I always do. It is just very uncomfortable to be here right now.

On the upside. One of the best things for anxiety besides drugs is exercise. I have been doing a lot on the treadmill. Also I don’t eat as much. The net result is that I am now down 13 pounds. Yea for me!!!!

Other fantastic news. Soon I will receive my autographed poster of Makoto Nagano and Wednesday we will know how he and the rest of the All-stars did in Sasuke #19. I can't wait. I hope they all fulfilled their hopes.

You have my sympathy. I'm so sorry Pamwax.

Please know that it is perfectly natural to be sore after starting a weight lifting regimen. I couldn't lift weights for a while after I began because of the pain that I felt in my upper back. And I had the experience of a great trainer too to help me out. It's just natural. But please see a doctor if you do not feel better in a week or so. I don't want anything to happen to you.

Congratulations on your 13 pound weight loss. That is so wonderful! I gave myself a little "treat" (not food) after even ten pounds that I lost, and you deserve at least that much. Buy yourself some pretty-smelling perfume, a new sweater, a trip to Japan....

:-)

Way to go Pam! A whole 13 pounds! I think that's wonderful.
I haven't yet started on any weight training, just walking, jogging and stretching stuff. Truth to tell, I wouldn't even know where to start.
